Summary:
Many water contaminants can end up in our water bodies, many of which mostly remain undetectable under chemical analysis with other compounds being present at concentrations below the detection limits of current existing methods. These are potentially hazardous to human health and the environment. Through the development of a biological test system with both laboratory experiments and field samples, we have developed a dedicated bioassay tool (“HyToxGen”), water samples can be tested for their quality through distinguishing toxicologically safe from unsafe sample.
